No one thing will work for EVERY player. Find what works for yours. Yes, that means a little more work on your part, but it’s your job as a coach to help ALL your players the best you can. Not just help the ones who “get” the approach, explanation, or demonstration you use the first time.

Help them with it. Help them overcome it. Help them deal with it. Help them solve a problem or alleviate a worry that’s bothering them. It’s a great way to earn their trust and make them WANT to hear what you have to say and learn what you have to teach.
BUT…you can’t do that if you don’t know what their fears, doubts, or worries are.
